RunwayMcFunway is a club for ladies from all over the World. St Valentines Day is celebrated in many countries in different ways and each of our Ladies was asked how they celebrate in her country.
Lady FlightyMcTighty:
In Japan we celebrate Valentines Day by each girl giving chocolates to the boy (or boys) she likes. One month later on White Day 14th March, the boy gives chocolates to the girl he likes, so this means having to wait an anxious month to see if your chosen boy decides to return your affection. Some lucky boys may have many chocolates given to them and have to make a choice of which girl they return to.
In many companies it is now traditional for Female employees to give small boxes of chocolates to male colleagues bit this is just a friendly act and there is no romantic implication.
